After being selected as the parliamentary candidate last year, I reached out to a group of local farmers to gain a deeper understanding of the industry. Since then, I’ve stayed in touch and continue to learn more each day about the challenges they face an important priority for any aspiring MP representing a rural community.
This evening, I had the opportunity to return the support they’ve shown me by inviting the former DEFRA minister Sir Mark Spencer , to speak at their monthly meeting. His unique insights were followed by a fascinating Q&A session.
